The Tennessee Entertainment Commission (TEC) has launched Create_Here, a project which highlights Tennessee’s creative technology class and seeks to recruit new talent and companies beyond TEC’s ongoing emphasis on music, film and entertainment. Create_Here doubles as an economic development recruitment tool by highlighting the depth of Tennessee’s talent pool, including the more than 46,800 Tennesseans who work in creative, tech and entertainment fields across the state.
As part of TEC’s expansion of its core focus to cover interactive and digital content creation-related industries, Create_Here also includes a new online community for animators, software developers, designers, marketers, writers and other professionals in Tennessee’s emerging creative tech sector.
The directory allows individuals and companies to create profiles to showcase their work, connect with other professionals in Tennessee and integrate profiles with existing social media networks including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Snapchat.
You can access the platform at CreateTN.com to fill out your profile and connect with other tech creatives in Nashville and across Tennessee.
As part of the launch, the Entertainment Commission will be sponsoring Craft Content Nashville’s June Happy Hour. TEC’s Corey Johns will be on-hand to showcase the platform and answer questions. Tickets for the Happy Hour are free and include drink specials and a selection of appetizers.
