In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the founding of PodCamp Nashville, an eight-day celebration of the digital content community in Nashville will be held in early April.
Led by the core team behind Craft Content Nashville, the event which succeeded PodCamp in 2015, Nashville Content Week will be held April 1-8 and will celebrate the numerous community organizations, meetups and events that focus on digital content creation in all of its forms in Music City. Events will be held each day, offering opportunities for learning, sharing, and networking.
“Nashville Content Week is the next natural expansion of the Craft Content brand,” said Carla Swank Fox, co-founder and lead advisor for Craft Content Nashville. “We’re thrilled to be working together with the amazing content-driven, grassroots organizations here in Nashville to create a week that will not only bring awareness to our work, but create new connections and partnerships.”
The week will kick off on the weekend of April 1 and 2 with the return of Design-a-thon Nashville, led by organizer Ian Rhett and creative director Matthew Rogers, who will stand up a 24-hour pop-up advertising agency and create marketing materials for a local nonprofit organization.
During the week, various meetup groups and organizations will host educational events and networking opportunities. They include:
- Monday, April 3: Virtual Reality Day, led by the Nashville Virtual Reality Meetup
- Tuesday, April 4: Podcast Day, led by the Nashville Podcasters Meetup
- Wednesday, April 5: UX Day, led by the Nashville UX Meetup.
On Thursday, April 6, the Nashville American Marketing Association Power Lunch event will be included in Nashville Content Week festivities.
And on Friday, April 7, Craft Content Nashville will begin its two-day stint of programming, including the Friday Night Meet-and-Greet, which has become a staple of the event. In addition, this year, Craft Content Nashville will host pre-conference intensive workshops on Friday afternoon.
“We’re hoping that these additional workshop opportunities will provide the ability for a deeper dive into our most sought-after topics,” Fox said.
Nashville Content Week will culminate in Craft Content Nashville 2017 on Saturday, April 8, at the Nossi College of Art. The keynote speaker is Angus Nelson, a nationally-recognized consultant, author, podcast host, and founding partner at Brain+Trust Partners. Featured speakers include Dave Delaney, Pamela Coyle, Kia Jarmon, Kei Gowda, John Ellis, Jeff Sanders, Hannah Hoffman, and Chris Burkmenn.
Tickets for the individual events are available now.
Nashville Content Week is organized by Carla Swank Fox, founder and chief strategist at East South, and is backed by TechFed Nashville.
